VonShef food processor

Review of VonShef food processor:

With the relatively new change in my diet I'm using a significant amount of almonds and other nuts. Making nut butters, nut milk, granola etc.
My food processor purchased in 2012 was just not adequate for the job. I found this out while attempting to make almond butter from 'Deliciously Ella' cookbook. Firstly I had to process the almonds in two lots, then due to the slow speed I had to add some water to help the processor get the right consistency.

It's so much more economical to make nut butters when compared to the price of a tiny jar, that I thought it was time to upgrade. The VonShef was larger and more powerful, than my processor, but I was sceptical as the price was so reasonable compared with the popular food processors which were between £100-£300.

The VonShef was £39.99 plus £7.50 on Amazon. But the reviews were good.
I eventually purchased it on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/ as the price was £31.98 with FREE p&p!

I'm delighted with it and it whizzed up my nuts for a granola in 30 seconds. The lid and locking the bowl into the locking position is a bit stiff (as mentioned on the reviews) but I'm sure that will get easier with use.
